"Congratulations Ron"

Merrill Lynch announced yesterday that Ron has been named Director of Global Network Operations, replacing his boss who has retired. In Ron's 15 years with Merrill he has risen up the ranks, through sweat, hard work and determination.Being a typical Cianciaruso, the words "cannot Do" are not a part of his vocabulary. With 20 employees and 275 consultants reporting to him, it will be his responsibly to oversee all of Merrill's locations including 774 Retail branches and make sure they are always connected and ready for business.
Ron's career began at age 12 delivering Penny savers and worked hard ever since, working his way up into the computer industry (at the suggestion of his brother Michael).
Congratulations Ron, we are all very proud of you...
and just think, you will be able to retire in only 15 years...

"Happy Easter to all"

Thought I would share this email I received today....and wishing everyone a very Happy Easter.....

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch, and decided, since I was not busy with another patient,I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound. While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman t old me no, that he needed to go to the> >nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health; he told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now. I was surprised, and asked him,'And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are'? He smiled as he patted my hand and said, 'She doesn't> >know me, but I still know who she is'. I had to hold back tears as he left; I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought,'That is the kind of love I want in my life'. True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be. With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there is one that comes along that has an important message. This one I thought I should share with you.
The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. I hope you share this with someone you care about. I just did. Life isn't about how to survive the storm, But how to dance in the rain.

"Move over Henry Ford - Uncle Marty is here"

Spoke to Cousin Jay yesterday. She is recuperating from knee replacement surgery, followed by an auto accident that required extensive surgery...so lets all leave a comment for her. During our conversation she said she had a story for the BLOG. Jay and her brother Dom were talking about this and Dom told her to tell me about it.

They were reminiscing about the time their father, Uncle Marty, using his creative imagination built his own truck from his circa 1930's car.

It was the very early 1940's, the depression still had its grips on the country. Needing employment, Uncle Marty came up with the idea of selling fruits and vegetable from the back of his car....he knew he actually neede a truck but that was out of the question, so he did the next best thing...he cut the back portion off of his car and built a flatbed type gizmo to fit into the cut away portion...in reality he had created a truck from an old car...each morning he would go to the market and purchase his wares and drive from block to block selling them.....It worked out well for awhile but a family situation forced him to give it up. But his idea, creativity and hard work is something we are all very proud of....

"Good Golly - Miss Molly"

Submitted by Cousin Georgi.....thanks Georgi

Here is the bio:We will not run a smear campaign. We will work to ensure pet parks throughout the good old USA!!! Pet parks which will include a snack shack all inclusive with coffee for the owner as well as gourmet treats for the pets!!! A vote for us is a vote for the working class pooch!!!
Miss Molly is our 6 year old German Short Hair who is very much a part of our family. Vinny, the Beagle used to belong to my sister who could no longer keep him and who now lives with us. We adapted his name somewhat since he is Miss Molly's cousin. Therefore, we call him Cousin Vinny. And the adorable baby Cocker Spaniel is Oreo. He is my son's dog who comes over for play dates with Miss Molly and Cousin Vinny! Miss Molly actually had her picture featured in the New York Daily News in 2003 in their Critter Column with my two sons for which she is now a self proclaimed diva!
